Steve and Bill have been organizing a week long golf tour of the Northumberland and Scottish Borders for 16 years for up to 10 people based at these cottages.
On each stay the Tweed and Shepherds Cottages have been perfectly prepared and the welcome and assistance during our stay exceptional. The location has proved ideal for access to a variety of courses and the area is general.

Yet another fab week at West Ord. Weather still hot and sunny, no rain! Recommend a river walk to Chain Bridge and over to the other side and into Paxton House, reward yourself with coffee and walk back, maximum 2 hours. Remember to chill out-after all it is your holiday. Can’t help but come back and will book our fifth visit very soon.
Such a wonderful base to explore North East coastal Northumbria: Lindisfarne, Craster (kippers), seabird cliffs; circular walk to Chainbridge and visit to Farne Islands: Finally Shirley has seen a Puffin!!
Bamburgh Castle, great views of surrounding beaches etc. Walked Berwick walls. Loved the birds, otters and sheer peace and quiet. Many thanks.
